Corporate Offices for Fenwick opens for business

The final phase of the JHDC designed corporate offices for Fenwick department stores opened in Bond Street, London. The 4200sqft offices and boardroom was undertaken by contractors, Sir Robert McAlpine as part of a much larger development of the 115 year old store.
 
Refurbishment of a Grade II house in Knightsbridge, London

John Harvey has been appointed to design the interiors and a 3400sqft under garden extension for a private residence in Knightsbridge, London.
 
Ovations Restaurant opens at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton.

A new 90 seater theatre restaurant has opened at the Mayflower, it has been created by opening up existing meeting rooms & corridor to create the space. The design by JHDC takes its inspiration from the 'neo-Grecian' art deco detailing of the original building, the design combines dark painted wall panelling with oak flooring and dark brown leather banquet seating.
 
Mews House in Mayfair, London
26th January 2010
JHDC are to undertake the redesign of a Mayfair Mews to create a home for a private client. The brief is to retain the facade, reconfigure the interior and dig out the basement to form a four bedroom residence.
 
House on the coast completes
27th November 2010
The refurbishment on a 1915 Arts & Crafts house on the coast of Kent has been completed by John Harvey. A new contemporary extension complements both the original building and its 1930's Art Deco additions.
 
New offices for Fenwick

Fenwick have asked JHDC to design the new corporate offices on the fourth floor of their Bond Street store in London.
 
Contemporary country house is finished
14th September 2009
Following an 18 month project a contemporary country home in the Home Counties was completed for a private client. This included the complete remodelling of the interior and exterior of the existing house, a large extension including an indoor/outdoor swimming pool & media room along with works to the grounds and tennis pavilion.
 
New retail concept for Nicole Farhi opens

First of a new retail concept for the designer Nicole Farhi called Farhi opened at Harvey Nichols London. The store was designed by John Harvey with further outlets to open including Harrods

New restaurant for The Mayflower Theatre Southampton

JHDC have been appointed to design a new restaurant for The Mayflower Theatre in Southampton. The 85 seater restaurant will open Spring 2010 .
 
Alterations to an Arts & Craft House on the South Coast

John Harvey has designed the interiors and an extension on an Arts & Crafts house in Kent for a private client. The project will complete in November.
 
Dukes Meadow Golf & Tennis Opens
13th May 2009
After a seven month phased project the refurbishment of the Dukes Meadow Golf & Tennis centre in Chiswick is complete. The John Harvey Design Consultancy lead a team to develop a 5 court indoor dome and 4 outdoor clay courts, along with changing, administration, retail, hospitality, education, treatment and training areas. The project was undertaken in partnership with TPT architects & project managers, Oco Design on the identity & signage and OneAbode on the landscape.

The new showrooms for French Connection opened today in Rue Richielieu, Paris. The showrooms over 2 floors were designed by John Harvey Design Consultancy working with TPT project managers and Holmes Architecture Paris.
 
Alterations to Toast Lifestyle Store in Westbourne Grove London

Following the successful introduction of the House & Home range to the ladies wear collection. Work completed today on the remodelling of the store to improve circulation and trading areas in the store 
 
Work starts on New Tennis Academy

Dukes Meadow near Chiswick Bridge, London will be the new base for a Tennis Academy aiming to develop young tennis talent in the UK. John Harvey Design Consultancy has developed the overall design for the facility. This included new player’s lounge, changing, retail and hospitality areas along side new indoor and outdoor courts.
 
Completion of French Connection's New York Showroom

Work completed today on the refurbishment of the 9000sqft 7th Avenue showrooms & offices for French Connection USA. John Harvey Design Consultancy undertook the work in association with Insite Development Inc. New York.

Work started today on the new Nicole Farhi store at the Bicester Village Outlet Mall. The Project is a fast track construction and will open to trade by the 30th July. John Harvey Design Consultancy are responsible for the strategy and concept and working with TPT architects and project managers to deliver the project.

Nicole Farhi to open her first store in Kuwait

The designer Nicole Farhi is to open her first store in Kuwait within The Avenue Shopping Centre. The 122sqm store will be designed by John Harvey and will be the latest project by him in a 20 year relationship with the Nicole Farhi luxury brand. The store will open at the end of March 2008.
 
New Home store for Toast in Notting Hill- London
9th November 2007

The fashion and lifestyle brand Toast have opened a new 260sqm store in Notting Hill, London. The site combined the recently launched house&home range with the established daywear product. The store was designed by John Harvey Design Consultancy working with stylist Twig Hutchinson and will be the third retail project undertaken by his new consultancy for Toast this year.

The store reflects the qualities and emotions that Toast have developed through their mail order catalogue and website. We created 3 linked spaces, using and revealing elements of the existing building. The shop fit combines designed elements with found pieces
 
New York Flagship Store for French Connection
25th October 2007

Following a fire in their SoHo store in the summer French Connection re-open their 8000sqft store on the corner of Prince and West Broadway in Soho. John Harvey Design Consultancy produced a new concept within a very tight programme. The aim of the project was to open up the building, allowing views thru and into the space.

As part of the unique concept for SoHo we used the existing brickwork and introduced a central area which is wrapped in reclaimed timber to act as a focus to the store. The project was undertaken in partnership with Boston based architects Bergmeyer
 
Two new stores for French Connection in Australia

Based on a new UK concept developed for French Connection,  the Australian retailer  Witchery are opening a French Connection store designed John Harvey Design Consultancy in Pitt Street Sydney.

This will be followed later in the year by another site in George Street Sydney  The project was undertaken in partnership with Melbourne based architects Renato Maccarone Associates
 
Master Planning a New Tennis Academy

John Harvey Design Consultancy have been appointed to prepare a master plan for a site outside London to accommodate a Tennis Academy for a charity aiming to develop young tennis talent in the UK.
 
Toast opens their first London store

The fashion and lifestyle label Toast are opening their first London store with a site in Islington next week. The store has been designed by John Harvey and will be the sixth retail project undertaken by him for Toast. His new consultancy, John Harvey Design Consultancy is also working on three other projects for Toast including a new 220sqm store in Bath due to open next month.

The store reflects the qualities and emotions that Toast have developed through their mail order catalogue and website. The site will be the 8th retail outlet opened by Toast in the UK.
